Belly dance performer and instructor
From the tender age of 15 the seductive Sofire Rosa embarked on an intrepid journey to her local dance class on the fair streets of Liverpool. There she encountered a more-ish passion for the art of Belly dancing. With passionate dedication, she performed for audiences across Merseyside; from haflas, to restaurants and regional shows.
The rambunctious and sensual flair of Turkish style belly dancing enthralled Sofire and she became driven to master the art of drum solo, cabaret and traditional performances. Thanks is given to the awe-inspiring Kathy Lawrence who captured Sofire's passion for Turkish belly dancing and made her the dancer she is today. As well as Kathy, Sofire has trained with Ozgen in London and Jamila of Manchester.
Sofire was eager to share her love for belly dancing and has now established herself as an instructor in this dance. She formed Sheffield University's Belly dance Society in 2008 and continues to teach the art of Turkish dance to it's talented members.
