+ and God made MANchester (20/03/2011 - 14:21:38)
Well it's been a month since I moved to Manchester and many exciting things have happened!
Im loving the belly dance scene here and so far have performed in some established restaurants and shisha lounges as well as some very fun private gigs under The Taste of Cairo agency.
I also had my first taste of the cabaret scene here after performing at Cabaret Regale at The Dance House.I got to meet some amazing performers from Cirque du Manc. Can't wait for my next show in the area!
Well it's been a while but its a new year and certainly a new start.
I have ventured forth across the Pennines to the City of Manchester where I have set up home in the district of Chorlton. I'm living with two extremely lovely housemates and already I started searching on the dance scene by performing at the Marrakesh shisha lounge on the notoriously fun filled road that is the Curry Mile.
I can't wait to meet more belly dance and burlesque enthsuiasts and have some exciting opportunities coming up. I havn't left Sheffield completely behind though. I will still be dancing at Otto's resturant (next Morrocan night is the 20th Feb!!!) and still in close connection with the wonderful ladies of the Sheffield University Belly dance society who make I add are doing extremely well this year with their showcases.
I will also be teaching some weekly classes with Sheffield Universities Burlesque society!
Exciting times! x
I am proud to announce I will be performing at Otto's restaurant's first Morrocan night on the 11th July!
Come join me for a shimmy on the dance floor and sample some delious food. Its £25 per head for a 3 course meal, or simply choose from the extensive menu.
Check out Otto's Restaurant online for more info.
Hope to see you there!
Since I arrived in Sheffield in 2005, I have noticed that this sleepy city is often lacking events aimed for those with certain fetishes and interests. It also seems that many such events are very low key and only seem to cross your path when a random friend of a friend mentions them. Why this is im not sure, it appears Sheffield has a very laid back approach compared to it's extrovert neighbour Leeds, who proudly hold such events as SkinTwo North, Leed's erotica and let's not forget numerous burlesque nights including one of the North's biggest shows The Wet Spot.
Therefore I am excited to announce that Niki's Nylons will be gracing Sheffield with their presence to host one of their stockings events in the North. After spending over 10 years doing stockngs events in London and Europe, it's time they finally get to us Northerners! A small event it maybe, but it offers Sheffieldian's with a kink for nylons and stockings to come and meet like minded people over a drink or two. Lingerie buisnesses will also be there to promote their lastest fashions.
So when is it? Well its this Friday (21st), at Trippets Wine Bar. Doors open at 7.30pm and there will be prizes throughout the night for best dress and also a raffle for your chance to win a professional photoshoot and Kiss Me Deadly lingerie. Not to mention every lady intendee recieves a free gift.
So if this tickles your pickle ever so slightly, come down and enjoy the night. Attendence is free!
Well Kiss Me Deadly's new range is almost upon us, and what better way to celebrate than a night filled with scantily clad ladies and entertainment from The Kitten Club, Missy Fatale, my partner in crime Lady Voix de Ville, and a shimmy or two from myself!
Check out this amazing event in facebook or have a peek on the Kiss Me Deadly website!
Yes its that time again ladies and gentleman!
April's Narcissus Burlesque is celebrating all things that makes the British Isles so so Great. Expect war time humour, classic cabaret, swinging with The Beatles and a trip down to our beloved holiday destination..........Blackpool! Watch out of a certain French visitor and his cheese fetish!
With performances from Ginger la Rouge, Snappy O'Shea, Violet Eyes and myself, Sofire Rosa. Our sexual, flame haired compere Lady Voix de Ville will be dishing out the banter as she does so well! You have been warned!
We are also proud to have General Major Despair and the Glory Boys pay us a visit.
We have the beautiful Amelie De Candolle maiding for us once again as well as rising starlet Lolita Laytex.
Sheffield's finest photographer Mr Karl Hugger will be there, so get in some pics!

Well its been a very busy couple of weeks with shoots, gigs, moving to a swanky city centre and now a new job!
I have been working closely with photographer Karl at Hugger Studios since September last year. He kindly sponsors Narcissus Burlesque providing us with imagery for our flyers, and as you can see from the pictures of Lady Voix and I, he is pretty damn good at his job.
I very proud that I am now the official administration officer and PR for Hugger Studios, and I must admit its been a very fun week working here including updating going on location shoots with Karl.
Go to www.huggerstudio.co.uk or visit Hugger Studio's group on facebook for more information.
The studio can hired out at a hourly rate and model portfolios to cater to your taste maybe booked.
See you there!
Wow well its the day after the 3rd Narcissus Burlesque show and what can I say?! It was fantastic!!
I want to say a massive thank you to the wonderful Lexi Sexx, Miss Cissy P and Mimi Demure for such awesome performers. Im not sure I will be able to look at a Teddy Bear in the same way again however after Lexi's deadly performances. I was super impressed with Mimi's sweeter than sweet acts and her ability to poor cake mix over her without spilling any on the floor - sheer talent! Miss Cissy P, what can I?! Being a Liverpudlian I must say she put a huge smile on my face with her Paperback writer routine.
So on with the next show! Lady Voix de Ville and I will be bringing you more sublime acts with April's Rule Britannia!
Performances from the glorious Snappy O' Shea, Violet Eyes, and Ginger la Rouge! They will be proving to you just why this tiny Island of ours is truly great.

Don't miss out!!
I attended the fabulous BurlyQ last and had such an amazing time being entertained by Scotland's finest performers. It is an absolute delight to see Sheffield's Burlesque scene really flourish due to such fantastic and dedicated promoters.
It was Vendetta Vain's Poodle act that completed the night for me. It had me in absolute stitches and I was stunned by her grace and elegance on stage.
It was also great to see legendary Daiquiri Dusk perform again after seeing her perform at The Wet Spot in August 2009.
I was throughly entertained from start to finish and now I am brimming with excitement for Narcissus Burlesque this Friday!
Don't miss the wonderful Lexi Sexx, Mimi Demure, and Cissy P battle between good and evil!
