Hip dropping, chest popping and twirling like a dervish, Sofire Rosa burst on to the belly dance stage in 2004 delighting her audiences throughout Merseyside. Sofire Rosa discovered her love for the burlesque stage in August 2008 and has since created a cultural fusion mixing the exotic allure of Turkish belly dance with burlesque's classic bump n grind, and lets not forget a tribute to her sponsor Kiss Me Deadly.

Sofire Rosa's routines can bring you anything from Beatles inspired go-go psychedelics to acts full of fire and Eastern promise. This sensational siren is more than just a pretty face behind a fabulous pair of twirling tassels and Isis wings, she mixes up exotic Turkish and Bollywood dance and subverts classic burlesque routines with her endless charm. Behind Sofire's mystical veil, lies a heart bewitched by biomedical science -luckily for us she escaped the Bunsen burning life of a scientist when she graduated from Sheffield University in July 2009. However Sofire's ability to mix cultures like she mixes biomedical elixirs meant that she set up Sheffield University's very first Belly Dance Society and now continues to teach the members. The society made it's mark on University culture when she co produced and headlined "Sofire Rosa's Evening of Burlesque" at the Raynor Lounge in March 2009.

Sofire Rosa has established her self both on stage and in front of the camera, with her celluloid exploits captured by Donovan's Darlings as well as doing regular modelling work at Hugger Studios in Sheffield and her own freelance work.
